About the role:
- Produce engaging digital news content and live coverage of breaking news.
- Source, write and publish exclusive off‑diary stories.
- Build contacts within industry and underserved communities.
- Conduct interviews, take photographs and film footage while reporting on the ground.
- Work varied shifts on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends, requiring flexibility.
Who we’re looking for:
- Passionate journalist with an NCTJ or equivalent qualification (or time‑served experience).
- Excellent knowledge of media law.
- First‑class writer with strong storytelling techniques.
- Proven experience sourcing, writing and publishing digital news content.
- Expert knowledge of Glasgow and the ability to tell stories relevant to a diverse audience.
- Superb social media skills and ability to use platforms to engage audiences.
