About us

Hello, we’re Reach. Every day, our trusted news, stories and content connect with millions of people where they live - whether that’s on their social feed or at their neighbourhood newsstand; through their local community or their take on the hot topic of the day. We’re home to more than 120 brands - from household names like the Mirror, Express, DailyStar and Daily Record, to local titles like MyLondon, BelfastLive, and the Manchester Evening News, and brands making a splash in the US like the Irish Star. It’s our ability to understand people and the things that matter to them that makes us Britain and Ireland’s largest commercial news publisher. We reach around 70% of the UK’s online population, 10% of the US online population, and over 100 million social followers around the world, connecting with them on who they are, where they live and what they love.

Your story, with Reach

As a modern media organisation, we’re much more than just news. And it takes a wide range of people and skills to serve diverse audiences, customers and communities like we do. We know everyone has their own story to tell, so we’ve built an environment where every background is respected and every day is a day to explore. We’ll help you build a career that works with your life, while giving you the space to create and grow.

About this role

As a Digital Ad Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in the engine room of Reach PLC’s commercial success. Your primary mission is to provide essential operational support to our sales teams by ensuring every digital advertising campaign is delivered flawlessly across our massive network. You will be a key member of a ten‑person department, reporting directly to the Ad Ops Team Leader and working in lockstep with Audience Data Analysts, Ad Tech, and Marketing teams. Your day‑to‑day involves the precise setup of digital ads, email newsletters, and internal marketing campaigns while adhering to strict service‑level agreements. Beyond just launching campaigns, you will actively manage their lifecycle by executing creative swaps, monitoring live status, and optimising performance to ensure our customers see the best possible results. You will act as a service provider, troubleshooting platform issues and collaborating across the business to validate revenues and exceed client expectations.

What you need to succeed

To thrive in this fast‑paced environment, you must possess a unique blend of technical curiosity and professional resilience. We are looking for an analytical thinker who is highly competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and has a natural eye for detail even when working under the pressure of tight deadlines. While previous experience with Google Ad Manager or time spent within an advertising agency is a significant advantage, a foundational understanding of digital advertising specifications and online targeting technology is essential. You must be a self‑starter who is comfortable working autonomously from home while maintaining a strong team‑player spirit. Success in this role requires a person who embodies our core values: someone who uses imagination to solve problems, demonstrates determination to see complex tasks through to completion, and maintains a relentless focus on the customer. Above all, you should be a collaborative communicator who is ready to uphold our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and non‑discrimination in everything we publish.

How we’ll look after you

  • We’re offering a salary of £25,000 plus a range of benefits that support your well‑being and development.
  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and extra days after 3, 5 and 10 years
  • Extra day of paid leave each year to volunteer for a cause close to your heart
  • Extra day’s paid leave for a special moment such as marriage, moving, or welcoming a new family member
  • Bonus scheme for performance and revenue contribution
  • Pension matching up to 6% of salary contribution, with salary sacrifice option
  • Flexible and progressive people policies, including enhanced family leave and inclusive workplace initiatives
  • Health cash plan for medical expenses and doctor’s appointments
  • Car lease scheme for electric/hybrid cars via salary sacrifice
  • 24/7 wellbeing support programme for you and your family
  • Access to discounts (e.g., 15% off on Yimbly marketplace)
  • Interest‑free loans for things such as season tickets and technology

If you’re excited about this role but don’t tick every single box, please don’t let that stop you from applying. We value potential, passion and the perspectives that different backgrounds bring to our work.

As an equal‑opportunity employer, we encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
