Product ownership and optimisation are core to the subscription journey and paywall experience. We are looking for a Subscription/Optimisation Manager, ideally with a media / consumer / content business background, to optimise full‑funnel performance from acquisition and conversion to retention and lifetime value across all brands. This role is home & hub based with one day a week in the Canary Wharf office; you can be located anywhere in the UK but must be able to travel to London once a week.

What will the role involve
- Working cross‑functionally, you will deliver intuitive, high‑converting subscriber journeys, ensuring a flawless experience that supports long‑term reader engagement and sustainable journalism.
- Oversee integrations, manage logic, refunds, and failed payments.
- Co‑manage the product backlog.
- Build new subscription tiers and shape subscriber‑only experiences to increase demand and capture more value.
- Optimise conversion and the pay‑wall funnel to drive acquisitions.
- Improve flows to deliver fantastic end‑to‑end user journeys.
- Manage experiments and implement test‑and‑learn workflows across multiple touchpoints.

Who are we looking for?
We seek an innovative, experimental, data‑driven professional who is KPI‑obsessed and has a deep understanding of the subscriptions ecosystem. Ideally, you have a demonstrated history of optimising subscription‑driven models, ideally within a fast‑paced media environment. You will act as a subject‑matter expert and work closely with designers, UX teams, and senior stakeholders, so excellent communication is essential.
