EssexLive, part of Reach plc, is seeking a Local Democracy Reporter to cover decisions across 12 district councils in the Essex County Council area, working mainly from home with one office day a month in Chelmsford.
You’ll build sources, attend meetings, break exclusive stories, and ensure local communities hear about council actions; there is potential for wider exposure including BBC Homepage.
A car is helpful for travel to council meetings and to cover events across the region.
