Position
Talent Acquisition Partner – Commercial at Reach Plc
Overview
Reach plc is Britain and Ireland\’s largest commercial news publisher. We operate more than 120 brands and reach millions of people across the UK and internationally. We are committed to diversity and inclusion and to supporting our people with career growth and a range of benefits.
About this role
This role is based in Manchester, with a hybrid pattern of 3 days in the hub and 2 days at home. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Sports Producer to co-pilot our fast-paced, high-profile sport shows alongside another Sports Producer and a Senior Sports Producer.
You’ll bring sharp editorial judgement and confident direction to originate standout series, deliver broadcast-quality output every week, and make smart platform-specific cuts for YouTube and social.
Day to day, you’ll develop, produce and deliver long-form originals for YouTube and social, owning the full production lifecycle: researching and shaping ideas, casting talent and contributors, writing scripts, and setting up studio and on-location shoots across the UK.
You’re comfortable working with high-profile sports talent and you operate a watertight duty-of-care process. You’ll spot new creators we should partner with, identify commercial opportunities, collaborate closely with producers, videographers, editors, creatives and strategists, and use AI tools (within policy) to boost accuracy, speed and consistency.
You’ll also play your part in building a truly diverse and inclusive operation that reflects the communities we serve.
What you’ll need to succeed
You bring a strong digital-first production background and a genuine love of sport. You plan complex shoots with confidence, show initiative and creativity under pressure, and thrive in quick-turn environments.
Organisation and attention to detail are second nature; you communicate clearly, adapt quickly and know when to lead and when to collaborate.
From ideation to delivery, you understand the whole production lifecycle and have experience working with camera crews through to editors. You are full of ideas and can craft visually compelling decks. Basic camera skills are a bonus.
How we’ll look after you
We take good care of our people – and that means more than just a pay packet. Whatever your role, you’ll get a range of benefits, including:
- 25 days\’ holiday (plus bank holidays), plus an extra day after three, five and ten years; option to buy extra holiday.
- An extra day’s paid leave each year to volunteer for a cause close to your community or your heart.
- Big moment day – an extra day’s paid leave for a moment that matters to you – like getting married, moving house or welcoming a new addition to the family (human or furry!).
- Bonus scheme – you’ll get a stake in our success and a chance to add to your annual earnings.
- Help saving for your retirement – we’ll match your company pension contributions up to 6% and you can contribute through salary sacrifice.
- Supportive and progressive people policies – a range of policies to support people in their lives in and outside work, including enhanced family leave and policies to promote flexibility, inclusion and progression.
- A healthcare cash plan – money back for medical expenses and fast access to doctor’s appointments.
- Private healthcare – for you/your partner/your family.
- Car lease scheme – buy a brand new electric or hybrid car through our leasing partner, paid via salary sacrifice.
- Wellbeing support – 24/7 assistance for you and your family.
- Discounts – including 15% off with Reach’s online marketplace, Yimbly.
- Interest-free loans – including for season tickets and technology.
