Embedded in daily journalism, you will collaborate with reporters and newsroom leaders, support breaking news and network rotas, capture original footage, share best practice, use approved AI tools and tailor off‑platform content to deliver video strategy and training in your area to support future growth.
You are a people leader, who fosters a high‑performance, trusting culture through fair policies, clear expectations, real‑time feedback, recognition, talent development and visible change leadership.
This role is home & hub linked to our Liverpool hub, so you must be located in or around Liverpool.
You will be covering a Sunday – Saturday rota between 6am – 11pm, so flexibility is key.
Please Note: This advert will close at midnight on Tuesday 23rd September. Please be sure to submit your application before the closing date/time in order to be considered.

- Responsible for delivering video KPIs, together with the relevant Editor/ACD, working with a Video Lead to shape the overall approach.
- Works closely with journalists to ensure video is a core component of daily output, including by joining conference where appropriate to shape the news agenda.
- Shoot original, high-quality footage to aid with producing original content.
- Accountable for adherence to quality standards alongside legal and copyright compliance, with ‘final sign-off’ on content.
- Effectively prioritises output and platform choice, including (where relevant) which titles to focus on, working closely with other editorial colleagues.

- Focused on shaping original content to meet relevant audio-video KPIs.
- Adaptable; keeps pace with rapidly evolving tech landscapes.
- Excellent communication, including written, face-to-face, presentation skills and the ability to cascade consistent messages for maximum impact.
- The ability to plan and organise yourself and your team: this involves the ability to delegate, set objectives, prioritise tasks, allocate resources efficiently, and manage time to ensure successful completion of projects and daily responsibilities.
- Skilled at problem-solving and decision making, approaching challenges methodically and remaining calm under pressure.
