Job Purpose: The position plays a key role in the achievement of our account management and new business strategy goals.

Key Tasks:

  • Establish strong relationships and manage assigned accounts to maximise growth and profit opportunities whilst maintaining a personal go-the-extra-mile approach at all times.
  • Through independent outbound activity, generate new business within assigned sectors.
  • Organise and attend customer meetings as and when required.
  • Work closely with the UK Head of Sales to plan, forecast orders, and manage the flow of new leads through the pipeline.
  • Effectively manage the order process from enquiry to sampling and full production, ensuring high-quality expectations are met.
  • Create an effective relationship with our India team to ensure orders move smoothly through all stages of development to production.
  • Input and track orders through the ERP system, ensuring detailed input is accurate and kept up to date.
  • Manage inbound sales enquiries, ensuring all are logged and responded to following internal guidelines.
  • Online research into potential customers and markets as directed.
  • Act as a re-wrap ambassador at all times.

Role Requirements:

  • A degree level education or comparable experience.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a busy sales or account management team.
  • Experience in successfully managing and growing accounts with a personal approach.
  • Experience in influencing senior people.
  • Experience in cold lead development.
  • Experience in creating effective working relationships with quick results.
  • Experience of effective relationships across cultural borders, or awareness of the approach needed.
  • Able to work on own initiative and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with database or contact management systems.
  • Responsibility for pipeline development.
  • Good working knowledge of IT packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

  • Experience in textiles production.
  • Interest in fair trade, sustainability and climate issues.
  • Working cross culturally.
  • Experience selling to UK retail sector.
  • Experience of ERP resource planning management software.
