A leading operator within the UK student accommodation sector is seeking a General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a high-profile PBSA site in Bath. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced property, residential or hospitality professional to take ownership of a vibrant student community, leading operational performance, customer experience and commercial success across the building.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional resident experience, maintaining compliance and health & safety standards, driving occupancy and revenue performance, and leading an on-site team to achieve high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operational management of the property
- Lead and develop the on-site team, promoting a high-performance culture
- Drive occupancy, leasing activity and resident retention
- Manage budgets, cost control, arrears and financial performance
- Ensure high standards of health & safety and statutory compliance
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance works
- Build strong relationships with residents, universities and external stakeholders
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience and foster a positive community environment
- Support local marketing initiatives and commercial performance strategies
- Experience within property management, PBSA, Build to Rent, residential or hospitality operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Financially and commercially aware with budget management experience
- Knowledge of compliance, health & safety and operational best practice within a property environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Customer-focused with a proactive and solutions-led approach
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment
Salary on offer is £52,000 - £57,000, plus there is a discretionary bonus on top, as well as a competitive package. This position would suit candidates currently working as a Property Manager, General Manager, Accommodation Manager or Residence Manager within PBSA, BTR, residential living or hospitality sectors.
