We’re working on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business that is seeking an experienced Production Site Manager to lead operations across its Hereford and Telford sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven and hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing and operations management.
As the Production Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, quality control, site management, and Health & Safety. You’ll bring strong leadership and a problem-solving mindset to ensure that daily targets are met, and that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the full production process to ensure efficient manufacturing and fulfilment.
- Contributing to production planning, including job timings and machine scheduling.
- Allocating resources effectively across both sites (people, machinery, materials).
- Maintaining high quality standards through regular checks and testing.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements for increased productivity.
- Leading and developing production teams, managing all HR-related matters.
- Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures.
- Monitoring inventory and liaising with procurement to ensure materials are in stock.
- Reporting on KPIs and production performance to senior management.
- Resolving production issues and implementing lasting improvements.
- Overseeing machine maintenance schedules and performance.
- Ensuring clean and safe working environments via daily cleaning and checks.
- Coordinating efficient machine changeovers to minimise downtime.
- Providing operational cover for other managers when needed.
- Managing engineering tasks, including parts ordering and machine capacity.
- Overseeing site services such as pest control, waste, and fire safety compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production management role.
- Strong leadership with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Effective time management and task prioritisation.
- Competence with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- A good understanding of Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety practices.
