Our client, a well established firm within the pharmaceutical industry, based in Gloucester, has an exciting new opportunity for a Canteen Supervisor to join their team on a full time, temporary to permanent basis.

The successful Canteen Supervisor should have

·Previous experience working in a kitchen or catering environment.

·Knowledge of Safer Food Better Business standards and HACCP principles.

·Food Safety & Hygiene and Allergy Awareness certification.

·Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and compliance requirements.

·Good organisational skills with a methodical and safety-conscious approach.

In this role, the Canteen Supervisor will be responsible for

·Planning and preparing weekly menus, providing a variety of hot and cold breakfast and lunch options.

·Preparing and cooking food, including buffet catering for meetings and events.

·Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and allergen awareness, including temperature checks and food storage/rotation.

·Supporting the day-to-day running of the canteen, including till operation, cash handling, bookkeeping, cleaning and ordering.

·Following company policies and health & safety procedures, maintaining 5* Food Hygiene rating, working flexibly across the site and undertaking other duties as required.

Our client is offering the successful Canteen Supervisor an hourly rate of £13.45 plus benefits including holiday allowance, moving to a salary of £28,000 when made permanent.
