Our client, a well-established business within the food and catering industry, based on the outskirts of Cheltenham, has an exciting new opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join their kitchen team on an ongoing temporary basis, with shifts available throughout November, December and into the new year.
The successful Catering Assistant should have:
- A valid Level 2 Food Safety certificate, or be willing to obtain one
- Previous experience within a kitchen, catering or food environment
- A friendly, reliable and hardworking attitude
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently
- Own transport due to the limited public transport in the area
In this role, the Catering Assistant will be responsible for:
- Heating and plating up simple food such as jacket potatoes, pasta bakes, fish and chips and salads
- Displaying food ready for service and assisting with serving customers when required
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces, including loading the dishwasher and washing up
- Supporting the wider kitchen team with general duties as required
Our client is offering the successful Catering Assistant £12.71 per hour, with weekly pay and ongoing temporary work with shifts available between 11am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, throughout September, October, November and December.
