Senior Laboratory Technician Location: Gloucestershire Salary: 35k + Benefits Are you an experienced Laboratory Technician looking to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business as a Senior Laboratory Technician, leading and supporting laboratory operations. Working closely with the Site Manager and wider operations teams, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards, driving improvements, and supporting the development of a skilled and motivated team. What you’ll be doing: • Overseeing day-to-day operations across Wet and Thermal laboratories. • Managing and mentoring Laboratory Technicians, ensuring skill gaps are addressed and cover is maintained. • Ensuring all testing schedules are adhered to, with accurate records and compliance to SOPs. • Investigating and resolving technical issues, escalating when needed. • Maintaining equipment calibration and laboratory standards. • Supporting interdepartmental collaboration through clear communication. • Managing laboratory consumables and ensuring operational activity is never delayed. What we’re looking for: • Previous experience as a Senior Laboratory Technician or Laboratory Technician, ideally within manufacturing, production sectors. • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of laboratory processes and procedures. • Demonstrable team management and leadership experience. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, “can-do” approach. • Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels.
