Are you an organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity in a beautiful rural location? We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our friendly finance team based in the stunning surroundings of Whitfield, Herefordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a busy finance function, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with VAT processes, and ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
  • Processing invoices, payments and expenses
  • Supporting month-end and year-end finance activities
  • Producing reports and spreadsheets using Excel
  • Ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date
  • Working closely with colleagues across the business

About You:

  • AAT qualified (or equivalent)
  • Previous finance/accounts experience
  • Strong understanding of VAT and experience of VAT return submissions
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines
  • Competent IT user with good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Positive, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
