Our client, who are a rapidly expanding Charity based in Stonehouse, are looking for an Assistant Head of Fundraising to join their team. This opportunity is a brand new post that has been created as part of an ongoing strategic development plan for the team.

This post is working alongside the Head of Fundraising, developing a strategic plan for the fundraising team, ensuring that budgets are delivered. Day-to-day you will lead the team, focussing on monthly targets, developing existing income streams & working to create new ways to improve revenue generation.

Duties will include:

  • Building strategies and fundraising plans
  • Developing a comprehensive pipeline of income generation activities (showing % growth), KPIs, & measuring and underpinning this pipeline with a remedial activity plan
  • Building new fundraising relationships across the UK, and converting these into donors
  • Generating revenue and capital income through a fundraising pipeline
  • Increasing the number of constituents and donors on the charity database
  • Managing and developing a calendar of charity events to encourage fundraising and charity support, which will feed in to the overall marketing and fundraising plan

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable experience in fundraising, with a strong background in business development including excellent networking skills. Managing people will be at the forefront in this role & therefore the ability be an excellent team manager, leading a team of results driven individuals is a prerequisite attribute.

We are looking for someone who has a strong commercial background, who is financially astute & can work in a change management/transformational capacity. It is essential that the successful candidate has excellent communication skills, has an influencing negotiation style & can build relationships with all stakeholders with ease.

Whilst this role is based in Stonehouse, it will include regular travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays. It will also include working outside normal office hours and weekends as necessary.
A pool car is available for work travel so it is essential that all applicants can drive a manual car.
