Are you an experienced Service Desk or IT Support professional looking for your next contract opportunity? We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Service Desk Analyst to join a busy IT team in Gloucestershire on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys providing first-line support, resolving technical issues, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line IT support to users across the organisation.
  • Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests through Service Desk systems.
  • Support users with hardware, software, account administration and access-related issues.
  • Liaise with technical teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the timely resolution of incidents.
  • Assist with IT projects and service improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with operational procedures.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Experience in a Service Desk, IT Support or similar technical support role.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in a relevant role.
  • ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent qualification.
  • Good standard of education, including English and Mathematics.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and keyboard skills.
  • Experience using Service Desk, incident management or service request management tools.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with excellent prioritisation and workload management skills.
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach with a strong customer service focus.

Desirable

  • Microsoft certifications or qualifications.
  • Experience working with technical suppliers and third-party vendors.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and systems.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations when required.
  • Experience handling and deploying IT equipment, including laptops, desktops and printers.
