Our client, a well-established firm within the Builders Merchant industry, based in Cheltenham, has an exciting new opportunity for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis due to increased demand.

The successful HGV Class 2 Driver should have:

  • CAT C Class 2 LGV Licence
  • CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Driving Licence Category C with no more than 6 points
  • A positive attitude and strong motivation to succeed
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team while remaining reliable and trustworthy

In this role, the HGV Class 2 Driver will be responsible for:

  • Completing local multi-drop deliveries of building materials
  • Operating Class 2 vehicles safely and professionally across the local area
  • Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time
  • Providing excellent customer service at customer sites
  • Complying with all transport, tachograph and health & safety regulations

This is an excellent opportunity for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join Gloucestershire's leading independent Builder's Merchant. Whilst a HIAB licence is preferred, our client is willing to fund the qualification for the right HGV Class 2 Driver.

Our client is offering the successful HGV Class 2 Driver a salary in the region of £33,000 per annum plus benefits including a workplace pension from day one, Death in Service Insurance (3x salary), 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, Christmas closedown between Christmas Eve and 2 January, company social events, a fully funded Christmas party, all PPE supplied, discretionary sick pay and access to discounted local parking at £45 per month.
