Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Tewkesbury

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a growing finance team based at a Head Office in Tewkesbury. This role offers exposure across a variety of financial processes, supporting the Management Accountant with monthly accounts, reconciliations, analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post monthly stock valuations on Sage
- Process monthly accruals including payroll, packaging, fleet, and overhead costs
- Complete fuel account reconciliations and fleet accruals
- Assist in preparation of depot accounts; investigate and resolve variances
- Support the production of monthly management accounts and maintain key files
- Reconcile MTD data and sales analysis using Excel
- Assist in financial performance analysis and purchase ledger postings
- Maintain records to support annual audit and tax analysis
- Assist with year-end stocktaking and BACS postings
Skills & Experience
- Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA or AAT qualified (desirable)
- Previous management accounts or ledger experience essential
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills
- Proactive, inquisitive, and able to demonstrate initiative
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask
- Strong Excel and IT skills; Sage 200 experience advantageous
- A collaborative team player with a flexible approach
