About the client

Our client is the third-largest banking institution in the United States that is commonly cited as being too big to fail. We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Full Stack Developer with expertise in Java (Backend) and React (Frontend) to join our team, with strong LLM experience (Claude preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Java, with a strong focus on server-side engineering
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs
  • Lead backend development initiatives and enforce best coding practices
  • Contribute to the React frontend, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems
  • Work hands-on with LLM/AI technologies (Claude preferred)
  • Mentor UI developers and guide frontend architecture decisions
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and performance optimization

Requirements:

  • Strong backend development experience with Java (preferably Spring Boot)
  • Deep expertise in server-side architecture and API design/development
  • Proficiency in React for frontend development
  • Hands-on experience with LLM/AI tools (e.g., Claude or similar) and integrating AI into applications
  • Experience mentoring UI developers and working in cross-functional teams
  • Solid understanding of databases and query optimization
