We are recruiting an Interim Occupational Therapy Lead to provide senior management oversight across key Adult Social Care functions. This service-manager level role will lead the Independent Living Service (ILS) and oversee Community Occupational Therapy (locality) services, including Blue Badge provision.
A critical focus of this assignment will be service improvement and transformation, including implementing recommendations arising from a recent service review.
The Role
- Providing leadership and management oversight of the Independent Living Service (ILS)
- Overseeing Community OT locality services, including Blue Badge functions
- Driving service improvement and implementing review recommendations
- Ensuring effective service delivery, performance management, and compliance
- Managing complex caseloads, risks, and competing priorities
- Working collaboratively with internal teams, senior stakeholders, and partner organisations
- Supporting transformation projects that benefit the local community
About You
The successful candidate will be an experienced OT professional with strong leadership capability and a proven ability to operate at service-manager level. You will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Service Manager or equivalent leadership role
- A sound understanding of strategic and operational service management within Adult Social Care
- Strong people management skills with experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills
- A proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to work independently
- A commitment to service improvement and delivering positive outcomes for communities
