We are seeking to appoint a passionate & highly motivated Chef de Partie to support our valued Client, an independent Pub with rooms, currently operating at one Rosette.
Based in the Stroud area, working alongside a small team of experienced, passionate Chefs, the key focus of the Chef de Partie role will be supporting the Head Chef, a Chef with a very strong background in running two Rosette kitchens. His vision is to go for two Rosettes, as soon as he has the right Team in place, producing comforting, well-cooked British/ French dishes using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. You will have the opportunity to work with good produce and most importantly in a friendly environment with excellent facilities and a fabulous, supportive owner, while contributing to menu development and presentation.
As Chef de Partie, you will work across different sections of the kitchen, supporting the smooth running of service, while preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.
The ideal Chef de Partie will:
- Already be working at one Rosette level. Two would be fantastic, but not essential.
- Really want to work here.
- Possess drive, and a real passion for cooking.
- Be eager to learn and develop in the role.
- Relish contributing to ideas for the menu.
- Appreciate the work/life balance that is offered, in a non-corporate environment.
- Show initiative and offer flexibility.
- Have a current minimum Level 2 Food Safety Certificate, but this can be arranged.
- Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef & kitchen team to produce exciting dishes.
- Have a love for seasonal and local produce.
- Demonstrate a solid skillset including sound knowledge on meat, fish and veg prep.
- Have experience at Chef de Partie level in a similar property, or the Client would be happy to consider a Senior Commis / Demi Chef de Partie who is looking to step up and learn.
- Show willingness to learn new skills, and an active team player with excellent communication skills.
