We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of building materials to trade and retail customers. As a key member of our branch, you will ensure that timber, plasterboard, and other essential supplies reach our customers safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating a Class 2 vehicle (typically a Curtainsider) to deliver building supplies.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring all loads are secure and balanced.
  • Conducting daily vehicle walk-around checks and maintaining accurate tacho records.
  • Providing excellent customer service at the point of delivery.
  • Working closely with the Yard Supervisor to coordinate delivery routes and priorities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Licence: Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) with a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Experience: Previous experience in multidrop deliveries is preferred. Familiarity with building materials (timber, cement, etc.) is a significant advantage.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of local roads and a commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Fitness: This is a physical role that requires loading/unloading and securing heavy materials.
