We are seeking an experienced Research Nurse / Midwife / AHP to be part of the Agile Research Delivery Team. This role will support the delivery of research studies effectively and efficiently in community settings across the South West. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of a portfolio of clinical trials and for the line management of junior clinical research staff within the locality Team.

This Senior Research post will require someone who has a range of clinical knowledge, skills and experience and who can act as a resource to advise and support those involved in clinical trials at all levels. You will be working on a broad range of clinical trials planning, implementing, organising and managing delivery and support. The role will be based within the Somerset locality team and will incorporate a combination of office based and remote working.

There is an expectation that the post-holder will travel to a number of locality venues within the community on a regular basis including GP Practices, acute trusts, care homes, schools, dental practices to assist with clinical research activities and engage and promote research across the Peninsula, therefore having a UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.

This post will support the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Regional Research Delivery Network, South West Peninsula's (RRDN SWP) expanding Agile Research Delivery Team, supporting research activity across a variety of clinical specialties and a range of settings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team working in each county across the South West Peninsula.

This current vacancy in Somerset represents an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hardworking Nurse/Midwife or AHP to be involved in research delivery, across Health and Social care settings. The portfolio of studies and locations offers the chance for this role to be both challenging and rewarding for the right candidate. You must be willing to be mobile and flexible in your working approach.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hrs per week. Full time Mon - Fri 8-4pm
