We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 Rehab Support Worker to join our therapy teams working in the bed-based community rehabilitation units. Every day you will make a huge difference to the lives of the people we support delivering a high standard of care alongside your colleagues. We have positions available at Sidmouth Hospital.
You will work as part of a supportive and integrated multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Doctors, Nurses and Health Care Support Workers. Your role will be to carry out rehabilitation plans with patients individually and in groups, as delegated, with the aim of increasing patient function and independence, support cognition, reduce the effects of deconditioning and facilitate timely discharge from hospital.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have an interest in community hospital rehabilitation, team working, falls prevention and management of patients with a wide variety of short and long-term conditions. An expectation of the role is to carry out treatment plans within your competencies or as delegated by the registered staff. Experience of working within the NHS and rehab settings is required.
Clinical supervision will be provided by a qualified Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist and we actively encourage peer support and offer learning and development opportunities.
Working Pattern: 32 hours per week, with a shift pattern working across Monday to Friday. This role would also be included on the weekend working rota. Depending on your shift pattern and working hours, you may also receive additional enhancements to your pay.
