Responsibilities
- To provide a full and efficient secretarial service for their consultants, nursing team and the wider service. This will include ensuring that all documentation is produced to an excellent standard. Strong proof-reading skills are required.
- Administrative functions including monitoring patient waiting lists and ensuring compliance with NHS standards.
- To coordinate and organise the attendance of patients to appointments in line with local team and Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust arrangements as instructed.
- Effective communication, handling correspondence and managing telephone and email communications.
- To work with the team to ensure adequate cover is in place during periods of leave.
- To maintain electronic patient records in line with Trust policies.
- Governance adherence, including training and compliance with Trust policies.
- To assist other secretaries and members of the admin team in the achievement of a quality service
Job Details
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced secretary or administrator to join our team as a Medical Secretary within HFOP/ACE.
We are based in William Wright House on the main Wonford site. The post holder will join an established team to provide comprehensive administration support for our patients and clinical team of Consultants. This job role will require some support for our ACE team including Data collection and a weekly timetable as well as normal HFOP secretarial duties.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise. Strong organisational skills and IT skills as well as the ability to manage your own caseload.
Working Pattern
37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday 08:30 – 16:30.
