We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 nurse to join our Community Nursing Team in Barnstaple for a fixed term contract. We are also happy for this to be a secondment but you will need your manager's permission for this. We provide a robust induction period and would help and support you to gain all the necessary skills for this role.
General working pattern would be Monday-Friday 9-5 with approximately 1 weekend on in 5; the hours can be negotiable to meet the needs of the service. It is likely due to other maternity leave that this will be extended. A full driving licence and a mode of transport suitable to cover a large geographical area will be essential.
About the Role:
- We need a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic and proactive team.
- Applicants will require good assessment, clinical and communication skills in order to deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients within their home environment, recognising when a patient is deteriorating and intervening and escalating concerns appropriately to optimise quality of life and reduce the risk of unnecessary hospital attendance.
- The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to provide a high standard of care and have good communication skills.
- Applicants must be well organised with a professional and approachable manner.
- They must be prepared to work as part of a team and autonomously.
