About the Role

We are seeking a first‑class candidate to lead the rehabilitation service across the East Devon Locality, with an emphasis on the Eastern area, i.e. Axe Valley; Honiton/Ottery St Mary. If you have energy, enthusiasm and the desire to lead the development and delivery of high‑quality services for patients, we would welcome your application.

Changes across health and social care, both nationally and locally, mean there is a greater need to support people during their recovery from health crisis and to enable them, where possible, to return home and/or remain at home in order to optimise their independence, health and wellbeing. We are looking for an experienced community therapy manager to take on this role. The ideal candidate will be somebody who shows great inspirational leadership abilities and who will contribute to the positive team culture in the wider East Devon Locality Team, which is part of the Royal Devon University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The post holder will be operationally leading a team of community therapists across HOSM and Axe Valley to deliver high quality, safe and effective rehabilitation for our local community. You will also be leading the pro‑active function across the wider East Devon footprint. As such, you will be confident in the use of audit and data interpretation, resource management, incident investigation and contributing to clinical leadership within the service to ensure quality care is provided. Adaptability and passion for innovation is essential to our success in the East Devon locality. In terms of our main Key Performance Indicators, we lead the way in the Trust. An ability to refine and develop systems and processes as well as to shape culture is key to success.

This is predominantly a Monday to Friday position with the expectation to provide evening, weekend and bank holiday cover as part of seven‑day service to ensure leadership across the locality, which replaces the requirement of on call. We will be consulting in the near future to shift to an 8‑8 working pattern. The working base for this role will be Honiton or Seaton Hospital. The post holder will need access to a vehicle to travel as required to support service delivery across the Seaton, Axminster, Honiton and Ottery St Mary geography and across the locality as required.

Working Pattern: Predominantly Monday to Friday with the expectation to provide evening, weekend and bank holiday cover as part of seven‑day service.
