Our Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) form an essential and well-respected part of our healthcare teams across a number of dynamic settings; out in the community, in our acute hospitals or within our theatres teams to name just a few.
No previous experience or qualifications are required, just a desire to deliver excellent patient care with the support and guidance of your colleagues. You will quickly become a valued member of the team through our comprehensive training and induction programme and our commitment to learning and development will satisfy even the most ambitious person. Once you’ve completed your training, and gained the necessary experience you will progress along the salary scale.
If you have previous, related experience and can demonstrate the ability to meet the competencies of the role then you will join further up the salary scale and we will continue to invest in your development as you progress your career with us.
The team–
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join our dedicated team within the Emergency Gynaecology Clinic and Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU). This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting women receiving urgent gynaecological and early pregnancy care.
You will assist the clinical team with patient observations, chaperoning, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring a smooth patient journey through the department. Compassion, sensitivity, and excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be supporting patients who may be experiencing distressing or emotional situations.
Previous experience in an acute, maternity, or women’s health setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours. 0800-1800 predominantly Monday-Friday. No nights or bank holidays.
Depending on your shift pattern and working hours, you may also receive additional enhancements to your pay.
