Have you ever wanted to work in theatres or dreamt of a job in Ophthalmology? An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse / ODP, to be part of the West of England Eye Unit (WEEU) theatres scrub/anaesthetic team. Our vibrant, busy department undertakes a variety of surgical procedures in Cataract, Corneal, Retinal, Oculoplastic and General Ophthalmology Specialities.
About the Role
The successful candidate will cover Scrub, Anaesthetics, Recovery, Circulate, Day Case Ward and Escort patients from our day case unit to Ophthalmology Theatres. Previous experience in Ophthalmology would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. Once fully competent the post holder will also co-ordinate the Operating Theatre as designated, in support of, or on the absence of the Band 6 and 7 Senior Practitioner. You may occasionally need to work at our other Theatre site in Axminster & CEE when needed.
Working Pattern: Full time hours, Part-time, Including some Weekends and On Calls. Preference will be given to staff with ‘Priority’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon.
