- The post‑holder will provide a range of highly complex and specialist Clinical Neurophysiology services to patients of all ages, referred from a wide range of specialties, and presenting with diverse medical conditions, including neurological and psychiatric disorders.
- They are responsible for the organisation of clinical work and associated non‑clinical activities, ensuring effective day‑to‑day service delivery.
- They oversee the provision, audit, and quality assurance of a designated specialist area within the Clinical Neurophysiology service, maintaining high professional standards and adherence to national guidelines.
- The role includes responsibility for the training and development of Clinical Physiologists (Neurophysiology) within the specialist area, as well as contributing to the education of other healthcare professionals, including medical students and nursing staff.
- The post‑holder undertakes interpretation of neurophysiological test results and provides accurate, timely clinical reports.
- They work collaboratively with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team on a daily basis to ensure that service needs are met and that patients receive high‑quality, efficient care.
Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week fixed term
