Provide a professional, efficient and effective reception and appointment booking service to patients and visitors in accordance with Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust policies and standards; acting as the public face for the Trust.
Undertake general clerical duties. Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times. Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy. Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times.
About the Role: Booking Clerk/Receptionist to join our Cardiology Service based at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Wonford. The role involves working as part of a busy and vibrant team, prioritising workload and maintaining composure under pressure. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven experience in dealing with service users on the telephone, flexibility, adaptability and excellent IT skills. You will need to enjoy the challenge of working as part of a busy team yet use your own initiative to meet the changing needs of the department and the Cardiology Service.
Working Pattern: Mon - Fri from 8:30 to 16:30 or 9:00 - 17:00 (depending on service needs). Contract Type: Fixed Term, 12 months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
