To support the Administration Line Managers by:
- Coordinating a professional, efficient and effective reception and appointment booking service to patients and visitors in accordance with Trust policies and standards.
- Coordinating an organised and efficient clinical Out Patient timetable.
- Setting up and altering clinics as required and coordinating room availability.
- Ensuring all referral processes, pending lists, reminder service reports, appointments and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner and elevate to senior manager as appropriate.
- Undertaking general clerical duties to maximise all available outpatient capacity in an appropriate way.
- Ensuring all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times.
- Providing excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy.
- Ensuring the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times.
- Presenting a positive impression of the team and the service.
- Providing administrative support to the other members of the Dermatology Team.
- Using multiple computer systems as required within the department such as EPIC (MyCare), MS Office applications.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Slot Administrator who enjoys working as part of a busy team, who can prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs of the department. We encourage personal and professional development and will provide full training and support to help you learn and grow within this role. Visits to the department are welcomed and encouraged.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 9 to 5, Monday to Friday.
