An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate nurse specialist to join our Ambulatory Care and Outpatients services supporting our ambulatory units in East Devon (Sidmouth and Tiverton) delivering high-quality, patient centred care.
About the Role
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will support rapid assessment, clinical decision making, treatment, and patient flow while maintaining excellent standards of safety, dignity, and experience. The overall aim of our service is to improve quality of care and health outcomes for patients. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of clinical care, patient safety, and patient experience, while also driving service development and innovation in line with the Trust’s strategic aims. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of motivated and innovative clinicians based at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust working predominately in East Devon but may be required to work across the Northern and Eastern footprint as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible and accessible clinical leadership for clinical teams, operational colleagues, patients, and service users.
- Work closely with key colleagues to develop and support the leadership of Ambulatory services in East Devon.
- Oversee safer staffing within the teams and ensure adequate capacity to maintain safety and quality.
- Continually review and improve the quality and efficacy of clinical practice and care.
Skills and Attributes
- Highly effective communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage own workload and take responsibility for clinical actions and systems/standards.
- Ability to make complex clinical judgments, manage conflicting views, and reconcile inter and intra‑professional differences of opinion.
