Responsibilities include providing a full and efficient secretarial service for consultants, nursing team, and the wider service. This will involve ensuring that all documentation is produced to an excellent standard, requiring strong proof-reading skills. Administrative functions include monitoring patient waiting lists and ensuring compliance with NHS standards. Coordination and organisation of patient attendance to appointments in line with local team and Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust arrangements as instructed. Effective communication, handling correspondence, and managing telephone and email communications are essential. The role requires working with the team to ensure adequate cover during periods of leave and maintaining electronic patient records in line with Trust policies. Governance adherence, including training and compliance with Trust policies, is also necessary. Assistance to other secretaries and members of the admin team in achieving a quality service is expected.
Job Details: An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced secretary or administrator to join our team as a Medical Secretary within HFOP/ACE. We are based in William Wright House on the main Wonford site. The post holder will join an established team to provide comprehensive administration support for patients and the clinical team of Consultants. This job role will require some support for our ACE team, including data collection and a weekly timetable, as well as normal HFOP secretarial duties. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise, strong organisational skills, IT skills, and the ability to manage their own caseload.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:30.
