We are looking for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) in Head and Neck Cancer to join our Adult Speech and Language Therapist Team. We welcome applications from experienced SLTs with the opportunity to develop from a Band 6 to Band 7.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will deliver SLT services to adults with head and neck cancer in North Devon.
- The post holder will be based at North Devon District Hospital and will involve:
- Running SLT led and joint outpatient clinics with Dietitian and CNS colleagues.
- Working collaboratively with head and neck SLT and MDT colleagues across the trust.
- Accessing excellent supervision, peer support, appraisal, regular lead and wider SLT meetings and opportunities for continuing professional development.
- Providing support and clinical supervision to SLTs across the adult team, SLT support workers and students.
- Delivering videofluoroscopy and FEES instrumental assessment for the service with SLT colleagues in the northern locality.
- The ability to travel to community and domiciliary settings is essential due to the rural nature of North Devon and requirements of the post.

15 hours per week.
