The predicted salary is between 39959 - 48117 £ per year.
To work with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and medical and nursing teams to provide expert advice and support for speciality patients within the trust. To be a member of, actively participate in, and work within the guidelines of the relevant MDT, as a key worker and the organiser. To co‑ordinate the care throughout the patient’s pathway whilst under the care of the MDT, from diagnosis through treatment and follow‑up care. To provide appropriate written information for patients, relatives and hospital staff covering relevant conditions and their treatment. To provide psychological, social and cultural support to patients diagnosed with relevant speciality diagnosis.
The post holder will work within the Lung CNS Team and part of the wider MDT team based at North Devon District Hospital. The role primarily involves supporting patients throughout their entire pathway. It will involve giving information and advice to patients regarding investigations, treatment, management of symptoms and side effects. They will also provide emotional support for patients around their diagnosis and prognosis. They will support patients in clinics, on the wards and on the telephone.
Working Pattern: 32 hours a week (Monday - Friday) Fixed Term until 31/07/27
