You will be embedded within the department working 80% of your hours alongside our team, and study with the University of Exeter for the remainder of your time.Upon successful completion of the course, you will gain a BSc Honours in Diagnostic Radiography and be eligible for professional registration with the HCPC. This fully funded programme allows you to study and earn a wage at the same time, with extensive workplace learning and practice, supported by academic learning at the University and through distance learning, and self-study.

As part of our team you will undertake a wide range of imaging work including A&E, General Radiography, Orthopaedic out-patients, Theatre and Portables, with opportunities to rotate through Fluoroscopy, Bone Density (DXA) Scanning, Cross-sectional imaging and our Community sites. Offering a Trust-wide preceptorship period for any newly qualified staff, our department provides an ideal opportunity to develop your skills within a friendly, supportive environment.
If your current salary exceeds the Annex 21 pay scale, you will continue to receive your existing salary and banding for the duration of the apprenticeship.
Working Pattern:37.5 hours a week. 80% on the job with 20% off the job. You will be expected to work long days, weekends and nights.
Base:The Base of the role will be RDUH, Community Diagnostic Centre (Nightingale Hospital) and Community Sites.
This is a fixed term contract for 2 years. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity. Please note, t his is an internal vacancy for Royal Devon employees, therefore Bank workers are currently not eligible to apply for this vacancy.
