We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and experienced Cook to join our team at Kings Bromley Care Home. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals and understands the important role good food plays in health and wellbeing.
Based in Kings Bromley, Burton-On-Trent, we provide care and nursing support for older adults and people living with dementia. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, homely environment where residents receive high-quality care and enjoy freshly prepared meals tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

Rate of pay: £13.25 per hour
Schedule: Rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays
We are looking to speak with applicants that are passionate about cooking and providing a range of quality meals for the people who live within the care home. We will look to you to prepare and cook, hot and cold meals, taking into consideration dietary requirements and individual preferences.
Further responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Maintain accurate records of food supplies and deliveries
Plan or contribute to menus with a focus on fresh ingredients and balanced nutrition
Ensure all equipment is cleaned, well maintained, and stored appropriately
Ensure the cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas are carried out effectively
Required:
Experience working as a Cook in a care home, nursing home or similar setting
A hands-on approach, with the ability to prepare, cook, serve meals, and assist with clearing and cleaning as required
Good knowledge of nutrition for older people, including special diets, allergens, and texture-modified meals
