R&D Partners is seeking a Laboratory Support Coordinator to join its field-based technical support team on a 12-month contract. This role focuses on providing expert service and support for centralised laboratory instrumentation, particularly within biochemistry, across a designated regional area, with occasional broader travel.
The successful candidate will play a key role in system installations, troubleshooting, and customer training, ensuring optimal performance of laboratory solutions. You will work as part of a collaborative specialist team, building strong customer relationships and delivering a consistently high standard of technical service. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, technically proficient, and driven to support excellence within the diagnostics or life sciences sector.

Responsibilities:- Install and provide technical support for laboratory systems.
- Conduct customer training sessions to ensure effective system use.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for pathology laboratory solutions.
- Assist with sales support, including tender responses and product demonstrations.
- Perform software modifications and product maintenance.
- Build strong customer relationships to enhance service delivery.
- Travel within the London area, with occasional travel to the South region and Head Office in Burgess Hill.
- In-depth understanding of the IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) industry.
- Experience in implementing best-in-class laboratory practices, either in hospital laboratories or similar diagnostic solution providers.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to provide effective support for pathology laboratory solutions.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and managing time effectively.
- Ability to plan work schedules and travel arrangements autonomously.
- Commitment to maintaining technical knowledge and building professional customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required (not routine).
- Must reside in or near the London region or be willing to relocate due to response time requirements.
