R&D Partners is seeking an HR Business Partner to join a leading pharmaceutical company in London on a 6-month contract.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to support and guide HR operations while contributing to the continuous improvement of HR functions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR generalist roles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to less experienced HR team members in their daily operational roles.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR programs across assigned geographies or business lines.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, collaborating with senior HR team members and line management on issues.
  • Develop strong relationships with HR specialist functions (e. g., Centers of Excellence, HRPSC, Finance PSC).
  • Assist line managers with new employee orientation and recruitment processes where appropriate.
  • Conduct ad hoc reviews and propose recommendations to ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR systems, and procedures.
  • Participate in organizational effectiveness and change management efforts, including reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, and transfers.
  • Provide reports and analyses as requested by senior management.
  • Key Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR function as a generalist or a combination of generalist and specialist roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of local and relevant employment legislation.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS applications.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, judgment, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with good presentation and influencing abilities.
  • High degree of discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and plan routine activities effectively.
  • Professional HR accreditation in progress preferred.
