R&D Partners is seeking a skilled and experienced Engineer to provide expertise in maintaining and calibrating equipment used in the production and testing of gene therapy products. You will ensure all assets are functional, compliant with industry standards, and meet business needs. This is a full-time, onsite position requiring the right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Be an expert in general maintenance, calibration, and metrology processes.
- Develop and implement maintenance and calibration plans for equipment.
- Oversee and approve technical documentation related to equipment maintenance.
- Supervise internal and external teams performing maintenance and calibration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Support audits and inspections by maintaining a state of readiness.
- Manage quality processes such as risk assessments, change controls, and deviations.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of calibration, maintenance, and metrology in a regulated environment.
- Experience working with maintenance systems in GMP facilities.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to manage and supervise maintenance activities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree).
- Commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
