2) The RoleYou’ll manage a portfolio of SME clients, serving as their main advisor and building long-term relationships. Your work will be impactful, timely, and trusted.
Core responsibilities:

Lead contact for client portfolio, providing excellent service

Prepare/review FRS105 & FRS102 accounts and corporation tax returns

Support and review junior staff output, offering constructive feedback
-
Prepare VAT returns, management accounts, and forecasts

Complete self-assessment returns for individuals and partnerships
-
Monitor scope changes and manage pricing via structured proposals
-
Maintain accurate progress in practice management tools
-
Respond to client emails within 48 hours (sooner for VIPs)

Learn firm systems and suggest process improvements

Occasional travel for team/client meetings
3) About YouYou’re qualified (AAT / ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW) and have at least 2 years’ experience in practice. You care about doing things well and making a real impact—for clients and colleagues alike.
You bring:

Practice experience with FRS105/FRS102 accounts and tax returns

Knowledge of UK self-assessment and SME tax

Experience with VAT, bookkeeping, and management accounts

Strong communication, including video and written formats

Attention to detail and good time management

Familiarity with Xero or willingness to learn

A collaborative mindset and comfort asking for support

Salary: £50k–£55k FTE (pro-rata for 25–30 hrs/week)

Hours: 25–30 hrs/week. Paid extra hours or TOIL

Location: Hybrid – 1 day/week in-office. Core hours 11AM–2PM
