We are working with a growing manufacturing‑led business to recruit a Finance Manager for a pivotal, hands‑on role within the organisation.
The Role
This position sits at the heart of the finance function and works closely with the Managing Director, playing a key role in supporting operational and strategic decision‑making across the business, including the manufacturing sites. The Finance Manager will oversee end‑to‑end finance operations, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and support the continued growth of the business. The role also includes process improvement, commercial analysis, and ad‑hoc project work as required.
- Managing the small AP function, including processing of stock invoices
- Payment runs and bank reconciliations
- Ensuring accuracy of sales invoice postings between transactional systems and Xero
- Credit control and maintaining accounts for two legal entities
- VAT preparation and filings
- Overseeing payroll bureau outputs and HMRC reporting
- Month‑end accruals, prepayments, intercompany journals, and full balance sheet reconciliations
- Stock control and working capital recommendations
- Monthly management accounts, margin analysis, profitability reviews, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Building and maintaining relationships with external accountants and banks
- Insurance renewals and project support
About You
- Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
- Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and proactive approach
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Experience with stock movements and control, and foreign currency translation
- Previous supervisory experience desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Excel and Xero experience
