A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Management Accountant to join a well-established, international consumer-led business based in Hayes, Middlesex on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Operating in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment, this role offers the chance to work closely with senior finance stakeholders, providing high-quality financial insight and supporting key business decisions. The position sits within a collaborative UK finance team, with exposure to wider international operations. This is an ideal role for a proactive and analytical Management Accountant looking to broaden their experience in a dynamic and evolving business.
The Role
- Supporting the month-end close process and production of monthly management accounts
- Delivering detailed variance analysis across actuals, budgets and forecasts, with clear and insightful commentary
- Assisting in the preparation of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital reporting
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
- Supporting forecasting and planning cycles, including quarterly performance tracking
- Producing regular reporting packs and KPI analysis for senior stakeholders
- Preparing sales and performance reports to support commercial teams
- Managing accruals, prepayments and provisions accurately
- Working closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure smooth processes
- Supporting audit requirements and responding to internal and external queries
- Contributing to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives
This role offers a strong mix of technical accounting, analysis, and business partnering.
About You
- You will be an ambitious and detail-oriented finance professional with a solid grounding in management accounting.
- Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or equivalent experience
- Experience in a similar Management Accountant or finance role
- Strong understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse large datasets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident communicator, able to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience in a commercial or consumer-driven environment is advantageous
- Exposure to ERP systems or tools such as Power BI, Oracle, or D365 is beneficial
