This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Accounts Manager (ACCA/ACA) to join a friendly and ambitious team. Offering hybrid working, early finish Fridays at 2:30pm, and the chance to enjoy premium local events such as the Henley Festival and Henley Regatta, this role combines professional development with quality of life.

The Role

As an Accounts Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, primarily from the local area and representing a variety of sectors. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and finalising year-end accounts, delivering insightful financial advice, and supporting clients with effective planning and decision-making.

You’ll be a key point of contact for your clients, building trusted, long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to add value. You’ll also support junior members of the team, offering guidance, review, and mentorship to help develop their skills and maintain high standards of service. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results, while contributing to the overall success of a dynamic and growing firm. You’ll work closely with partners and senior colleagues, benefiting from an open, inclusive leadership style that encourages fresh thinking and collaboration.

About You

To be successful in this Accounts Manager position, you’ll need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with at least 3–4 years of previous experience in practice. You will have the ability to manage a varied workload with minimal supervision, demonstrate sound technical expertise, and show a proactive approach to client service.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Confident in managing client relationships and liaising face-to-face
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Skilled in reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing constructive feedback
  • Knowledgeable about cloud-based accounting platforms such as Xero or QuickBooks
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to spot opportunities for added value
  • Energetic and adaptable – someone who can hit the ground running

You’ll be a great cultural fit if you value professional excellence, enjoy a supportive yet ambitious environment, and like to get involved in the social side of office life.

The Offer
