In this varied role, you'll combine strong technical accounting expertise with commercial insight, taking ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, governance and business partnering. Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Review financial results, including revenue, cost of sales, inventory, operating expenses and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure provisions, journal approvals and financial controls are completed accurately and in line with accounting standards.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders, identifying business risks, opportunities and performance trends.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, SOX controls and internal governance requirements.
- Partner with Shared Service Centre teams to improve processes, service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting and data quality.
- Act as a key finance contact for internal stakeholders across multiple European locations.
- Manage and develop a Finance Planning & Control Specialist.
- Support finance projects and wider business initiatives as required.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong experience within financial control, financial reporting or Financial Planning & Control.
- Understanding of IFRS.
- Experience managing month-end close and balance sheet integrity.
- Knowledge of SOX, governance, audit and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working alongside Shared Service Centres.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Experience working within an international or multicultural environment.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Hyperion, Trintech Cadency or BOFC would be advantageous.
