RD Engineering Associates is an architectural and engineering consultancy headquartered in Appley Bridge, Wigan, in the North West of England. We have over 25 years of combined expertise in civil and structural engineering, providing professional building design services across the UK. Our team specializes in designing structures using timber, steel, masonry, and concrete, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and requirements. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions to meet the needs of the construction industry.

We are looking for Structural Engineers with several years experience in building defects diagnostics. Due to an increase in workload, we are seeking engineers with experience in undertaking structural surveys and producing structural survey reports.

  • Inspection of all types of buildings and structures
  • Developing new ideas to help shape the future of the business
  • Several years post graduate experience in the inspection and reporting on structural defects (essential)
  • Car owner and UK driving license
  • All aspects of Microsoft Office

This is a permanent role requiring 37.5 hours per week (full time) working from the head office in Appley Bridge, West Lancashire (5 minutes North-East of Wigan). However, we would consider part time applications/flexible hours and potentially working from home on set days.

The role will pay a salary between £35000-£45000 (depending on experience) p/a with 28 annual holidays.
