About the Role
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Digital Learning Co-ordinator to join our Digital Learning Team, supporting a varied programme of online education and professional development activities for healthcare professionals across the UK and internationally.
Reporting to the Digital Learning Manager, you will play an important role in co-ordinating the College’s webinars and virtual events, educational podcasts and RCSEd Mentoring Scheme, alongside providing administrative support for our Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs). Working with colleagues, faculty and external partners, you will help deliver engaging and accessible learning experiences for our members and wider healthcare community.
A key part of your role will be co-ordinating the College’s programme of webinars and virtual events, supporting all aspects of delivery from initial planning and scheduling through to the live event, communications and reporting. You will work closely with faculty, Specialty Surgical Boards, partner organisations and contributors to help ensure the smooth delivery of engaging and effective online educational activity. Live webinar delivery is an important part of the role, with responsibility shared across the wider team. This will regularly involve evening working.
You will also co-ordinate the College’s educational podcast programme, arranging recordings, liaising with contributors and supporting the publication of episodes. You will act as the main point of contact for the RCSEd Mentoring Scheme, co-ordinating its day-to-day administration, supporting mentors and mentees, and monitoring the progress of mentoring relationships.
You will provide administrative support to users of the College’s VLEs and other digital learning services, responding to enquiries, assisting with learner access, enrolments and account administration, and helping to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the College’s online learning platforms.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues, faculty, volunteers, members, learners and external partners, contributing to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the College’s digital learning services and educational activities.
The post is based at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, with hybrid working available. Occasional travel may be required.
