As a Senior Engineer in this fast-paced environment, you will create and implement client-side solutions on top of our Products. The Engineer is responsible for writing server-side web application logic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop back-end components and connect the application with other (often third-party) web services.
- Support the Web Designer by integrating their work with the application.
- Use PHP to produce user-friendly HTML web solutions.
- Write back-end code and build efficient PHP modules.
- Develop back-end portals with an optimized database.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve usability on existing and new projects.
- Ensure high-quality and efficient/optimized source code to maximize response times and provide a slick user experience.
- Liaise with clients where necessary.
- Troubleshoot application and code issues.
- Finalize back-end features and test web applications.
- Update and alter application features to enhance performance.
Key Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Deep understanding of development processes and a strong technical background.
- Experience in the following technologies: PHP, JQuery, HTML, Less/CSS/Flexbox, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, Linux (maintaining local website distributions), Git, Twig templating, Zend Framework/Laminas MVC.
- Proven work experience in a Web Developer role.
- Experience in browser testing and debugging (e.g. Chrome Console).
- Knowledge of SEO and its implementation.
- Knowledge of eCommerce.
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services.
