An innovative, fast-growing fintech/advisory firm is seeking a Trade and Settlement Director to specialise in institutional tokenisation services. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage trading activities within their digital assets vertical, ensuring best execution practices, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service for institutional and corporate clients.

The Role

As Trade and Settlement Director, you will oversee multi-asset trade execution, tokenization vault reconciliation, and post-trade operations. You will act as the primary trading point of contact for institutional clients and drive automation by collaborating closely with our engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Execution & Reporting: Manage trade execution across fixed-income products (treasuries, commercial paper, funds, and ETFs). Ensure best execution, monitor market conditions, and oversee settlement reporting.
  • Compliance & Governance: Embed regulatory requirements into daily trading workflows, manage transaction reporting, and support internal/external audit processes.
  • Client & Counterparty Relations: Act as the trusted trading contact for institutional clients, manage trade instructions, and maintain strong relationships with brokers and liquidity providers.
  • Tech & Platform Optimization: Collaborate with the Technology Team to streamline processes, automate workflows, and integrate new trading venues or data feeds.
  • Risk Management: Maintain robust operational controls to minimize execution risk, monitor anomalies, and manage backup trading procedures.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Background: 4-8 years experience working at an institutional investor or bank within a back- or middle-office function.
  • Market Knowledge: A solid, working knowledge of Fixed Income markets alongside a deep understanding of trading and settlements.
  • Relationship Management: Experience managing key relationships with institutional counterparties.
  • Mindset: A self-motivated, entrepreneurial self-starter who excels in a dynamic start-up culture.
  • Education: A STEM degree is preferred, but not strictly required.
