We are seeking an experienced and results-driven SEO Account Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact organic search strategies across a portfolio of B2B and B2C clients. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, driving performance against KPIs, and coordinating with cross-channel teams to deliver measurable growth in visibility, traffic, and revenue. The ideal candidate combines strong technical SEO expertise with commercial awareness and excellent client management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
- Develop and implement data-led SEO strategies aligned with client objectives
- Lead regular reporting calls, quarterly reviews and performance reviews
- Translate complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for account growth (upselling/cross-selling)
SEO Delivery
- Oversee and execute core SEO activities, including:
- Technical SEO audits and recommendations
- Keyword research and search intent mapping
- On-page optimisation (metadata, internal linking, content structure)
- Off-page strategies including digital PR and link building
- Monitor and improve site performance using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or SEMrush
- Ensure best practice implementation across all deliverables
Performance & Reporting
- Track, analyse, and report on key SEO metrics including rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and ROI
- Build clear, concise reports tailored to client goals
- Continuously optimise strategies based on performance data and industry trends
- Work closely with PR and social media teams to deliver integrated campaigns
- Provide clear briefs and guidance to internal specialists
- Support new business pitches with SEO insight and proposals
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in SEO, ideally within an agency environment
- Proven track record of delivering organic growth for multiple clients
- Strong technical SEO knowledge (indexation, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, etc.)
- Experience with leading SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog)
- Proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively
- Experience working with B2B clients on lead generation
- Proven experience developing SEO roadmaps and executing activities
- Experience working with WordPress sites
- Experience contributing to or leading digital PR/link‑building campaigns
- Knowledge of CRO and UX best practices
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g. Shopify and Magento)
- An understanding of LLMs and an interest in how they impact SEO
- Experience working with clients in one or more of the following sectors: logistics, professional services, property, education and healthcare
